Trustees

The Trustees at St. Peter’s are the church’s property managers.  They ensure that building systems are maintained and that the building is kept clean, well-supplied, and in good repair. They meet once each month to discuss the needs of the church and to assign specific tasks to individual trustees for resolution.  The board is asked to address conditions as they develop and individual trustees may be approached with emergent concerns regarding the physical plant.  We are blessed with a beautiful, 250 year old building that requires a lot of love and attention.  We want to do everything we can to ensure that it will still be here for future generations!

In New York State, the Trustees are considered to be the legal representatives of the local church as a business entity.  As such, the Trustees are required to sign contracts with outside businesses for any work performed for the church.

Trustees are typically elected to a three-year term and may be re-elected, but may not serve more than 6 years consecutively.

If you wish to host an event in our building or to use our space for any other purpose, please fill out and submit the following form: Facilities Use Agreement. Please contact the pastor directly with inquiries about weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
